I am always motivated after ready your posts!!!
I have jusg decided I have had it!! I have to get motivated and get rid or tje wight! I’m going to Vegas is Sept and I MAM wearung a swimsuit to the friggin pooll with otu feeling all self concious!!!
So Starting today that is it– no more candy or sweets or ice cream– what i think i will do is take it a week at a time– start with giving up the sweets this week– then next week move on to a new goal– any suggestions????–
I’m turning 31 next month and i swore that i would have lost the weight by now– well obviouslt i haven’t– and to be homsest I haden’t REALLY tried- I realize that it is my own fault no one is forcing me to eat all the JUNK i eat!! i have to learn to have some self control and bu healthy snacks for myself.
My goal is about 130-140- I am about 165 right now and am 5′4″ part of my problem is that i don’t really look that big and have learned how to dress to kinda camoflauge it if ya know what i mean!!!
I havw no desire to be stick thin and 130ish has always been a good weight for me–altbought I haven’t seen it in a LONG time– not since before i tad my 4 kids!! hshaha– but i am finishing up my degree this month and just want ot make a change!!!!!

Agency determines that testing is “prudent”

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will now test certain meat and poultry products including baby food, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets for the chemical melamine.

The action by the agency’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) comes amid concerns that melamine contamination in some imported foods–specifically those that contain milk products imported from China–may have spread to meat and poultry.

“In light of recent disclosures of melamine being found in certain imported food products, FSIS has determined that it is prudent to do a small amount of sampling to see if there is any reason to be concerned about the presence of this chemical in meat and poultry products,” the agency wrote.

As ConsumerAffairs.com has reported, Chinese officials in September discovered melamine in the powered infant formula made it that country. Officials later learned that some dairy plants intentionally added the chemical to milk products to make them appear to have higher protein levels.

China’s melamine-tainted milk scandal is blamed for the deaths of at least six infants in that country and the illnesses of thousands of other babies.

The tentacles of that contamination spread around the world to such products as candies, yogurt, cookies, and coffees.

FSIS officials say federal investigators will, over the next 12 weeks, collect meat and poultry products that contain such milk-derived ingredients as non-fat dried milk, casein, whey, evaporated milk, and milk powder, and test them for melamine. Read the rest of this entry »
